Pistols are the heart of Pistol Arena — every player fights with handguns under a strict one-hit kill rule. Unlocks come from playing matches, not from stat-grinding power weapons. This section explains how the pistol roster works, why tier lists rank feel over damage, and where to go next for collection goals.
One-Hit Rule Changes Everything
In Pistol Arena, a connecting shot eliminates the target. That means pistols are not ranked like RPG weapons with DPS curves. A "weaker" gun on paper is still lethal. Community tier lists therefore rank sight picture, animation speed feel, screen clutter, and personal comfort — not damage tiers.
Do not skip the tier list expecting S-tier stat boosts. Read it as a cosmetic and ergonomics guide. Competitive edge still comes from aim, slide movement, and map angles.
Unlocking Pistols Through Gameplay
Virtuals Games designed progression around playing the game. Win or lose, time in matches contributes toward unlocking new pistols for your collection. There is no official code shortcut at launch — see honest status on codes.

Choosing Your Main
Pick a pistol with a clean center-screen sight you can pre-aim with. Flashy models that block vision lose duels even though damage is identical. Rotate new unlocks in casual matches before committing in tryhard lobbies — muscle memory ties to sight shape more than players admit.
